Prepared in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000 (PAIA) (as amended by the Protection of Personal Information Act – POPIA)
 
1. INTRODUCTION
 
This manual is compiled to assist members of the public in exercising their right to request access to records held by ARCQ Global Solutions (Pty) Ltd (“ARCQ”), in accordance with PAIA and subject to the provisions of POPIA.

The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) has compiled a guide to assist people in exercising their rights under PAIA.

The following categories of information are automatically available and can be accessed without formal PAIA request:

6. REQUEST PROCEDURE
  1. Complete Form C (available on www.sahrc.org.za).
  2. Provide proof of identity.
  3. Send the completed form with payment of the request fee to the Information Officer (contact details above).
  4. Outcome: ARCQ will respond within 30 calendar days.

8. GROUNDS FOR REFUSAL OF ACCESS
ARCQ may refuse a request for access to records on the following grounds:
  • Privacy of a third party
  • Commercial confidentiality
  • Safety and security considerations
  • Legal privilege
  • Protection of personal information (POPIA)
9. AVAILABILITY OF THIS MANUAL
This manual is available at ARCQ’s head office, on the company’s website, and from the SAHRC on request.
